The Baby Fold is hosting a TBRI virtual series designed for caregivers and professionals working with children from hard places. These virtual trainings intend to teach trauma-informed strategies for helping children heal, grow, and thrive. DCFS is looking for parents/guardians, adult adoptees, and non-DCFS child welfare and adoption professionals to join the Illinois Adoption Advisory Council. The IAAC addresses the department's goals of safety, well-being and permanency through its members' expertise, experience, advice and advocacy. DCFS is looking for someone to support, advocate, and coach adoptive and guardianship parents as they move from foster care to becoming a permanent family.
